It’s over

So, yesterday was the last performance of She Loves Me.  it turned out better than I expected.  Not only did the cast a crew do a great job, but the audience loved the show.  Truthfully, a lot of us were a little unsure whether it was going to turn out, but it did!  ah the [...]

Tech Week

April
20

Also known as hell week is about to begin.  It’s going to start in approximately two hours and nineteen minutes.  I am excited about being with my friends until 10 o’clock and getting costumes and lighting and what not, but I am scared for my sanity.

Dear God, it’s me, Hailey.  Please oh please, let [...]

Sorry about the delay

Hey guys.  So we’ve been rehearsing it. UP.  And it’s going to get even more intense with the set and costumes and what have you.  I’m a little off because I got into a pretty major car accident and totaled my car, so that shook me and my friend Jason (who’s George in the play) [...]

We’re getting closer

March
30

So we had our first run through yesterday (Sunday).  It was pretty aggravating- you know, one of those rehearsals where everyone looses the script for the first time and has to call “line” every other word.  I have no clue how to show looks yet, but I never quite know until tech week.

I don’t know [...]

One month to go

March
26

A short post:

One month to go until the show.  Holy schmigoly oly!  I’ve been practicing my songs and they’re getting better.  That’s good.  The seniors had senior skip day yesterday, so we couldn’t go to dance rehearsal.  But I think everything will be good (fingers crossed).  I really need to memorize those lines, though.  Until [...]

Romantic Atmosphere- finished!

March
17

So, the Romantic Atmosphere musical number is finally finished.  It’s going to be really fun and hectic.  Some of the people are getting disguised so we can have the whole cast in the number, so watching my friend Jason put on a beard that made him look Amish was pretty golden.

Not only did we [...]

Romantic Atmosphere…

March

is going to kill me.  I just had rehearsal after a long day and I’m in a horrible mood.  The number is going well, but it feels like it’s taking a long time to finish.  Tomorrow we have the first act run-through.  I don’t know how it will go, but I’m hoping it will go [...]

Let the dancing begin

March
1

After a short hiatus from rehearsals due to vacation and my schools ice cream social, today the cast of She Loves Me was thrown into some crazy Hungarian dancing (my favorite).  For the cafe number, in which the main character, Amalia (played by Isabelle McCalla) is waiting to meet her blind date, the whole cast [...]
